In December 2000, we went to the Cayman Islands. Absolutely beautiful place, with some of the most incredible diving & snorkeling. We stayed in a condo in Georgetown (the capital), right on the beach, near the start of Seven Mile Beach (it's not a marketing phrase--it really is 7 miles of gorgeous, white sand beach).

Friendly people, crystal clear blue water, azure skies, the natives speak English (even if it is fractured King's English), travel-brochure beaches--I think we found Heaven!
