I took my 540i to a local BMW performance shop, and had a number of Dinan modifications made to it. Dinan is a well-known BMW aftermarket tuner. Horsepower before mods was 290; now about 350. Torque before 325; now 360.

Upgrades and Mods:
* Performance Engine Software (this used to be called a new "chip", but now is simply a software upload)
* High Flow Cold Air Intake System
* High Flow (fuel) Throttle Bodies
* High Flow Air Mass Meters
* Front Strut Tower Brace (for increased rigidity)
* Performance Automatic Transmission Software

Pictures don't really show engine mods, but I took some anyway :-). And you can see the Dinan deck lid badge!
