Could it possibly be true? Snow in Houston on CHRISTMAS EVE?

For the first time in many, many years, it snowed in the Houston area. And on Christmas Eve! We were in Puerto Vallarta at the time, so I don't have any pictures of this freak occurrence. But a friend did send these pictures taken in Galveston.

Here is a quote from the National Weather Service: "Saturday's total (4") in Galveston is the highest on the island since at least 1947, when more precise record-keeping began."
