The show is KVHW 5/13/99 Richard's Music Club, Vancouver, BC.  KVHW is Steve
Kimock on guitar, Bobby Vega on bass, Alan Hertz on drums and Ray White on
rhythm guitar.  For this show Terry Haggerty (Sons of Champlin, Phil &
Friends and more) was filling in for Ray White.

Since KVHW is no longer together, I thought this would be a good show to get
out, especially to those who didn't get a chance to hear them.  I wasn't too
impressed with Kimock in the Other Ones but since then, I've checked out
Zero, KVHW, Phil and Friends, and other people Steve has played with like
Bruce Hornsby and Jazz is Dead. I am now completely blown away by his guitar
mastery and his ability to improvise.  I received this show in a b&p from
Alan Dorchak on the IncidentaList.  Here is some info from his b&p post:

<<Thanks to a certain majestic nocturnal creature I am able to offer this
excellent recording of KVHW at Richard's Music Club in Vancouver, British
Columbia.  For history buffs, this was Terry Haggerty's first gig with KVHW
and the first gig of Ray White's short hiatus from the band.  The
performance is sublime, kicking on all cylinders.  Terry played as though he was born
for the role, Kimock was a fountain of spectacular intensity and Bobby and Alan
both rose to the occasion.  The result is a splendid example of fully
instrumental psychedelic Kimockian jams.

Did I hear someone ask "what's the source?" - well I'm glad you asked.  The
recording was made on a panasonic microrecorder using onboard mics
powered by slightly worn everready batteries, the recorder was placed inside
the coat pocket of a very tall silent man that stood near the ladies room at
Richard's Music Club.  It was transferred to CDR using 12 gauge wires
soldered directly to the speaker output of the panasonic microrecorder
connected to the serial port of an Atari 9800 PC running the CP/M operating
system.   Despite this rather unorthodox rig the recording is remarkable
clear and crisp.  Who knew?  Must be the 12 gauge wires.>>

Too funny!  I do know that this has an FOB audience source and that KVHW's
taping policy was too use mics positioned in front of the stage (reference
their Live CD insert).
