Unlimited Van Morrison B&P offer (and a story, too) Hey all, I've been out of lurk mode for awhile, and getting the tape decks spinning again after a long rest. I also have a new CD burner and a sound card that allows me to feed the DAT signal straight into the computer through a SPDIF imput. That and SoundForge 4.5 makes for some nice CD's! :) I was putting a Van Morrison show onto the hard drive this past weekend and it was such a great recording (both performance and sound quality) that I thought I'd offer it up here. It's from 12/17/95, The Point in Dublin Ireland. This is a DAT recording from an FM broadcast, the sound quality is excellent. He's got a bunch of guests on hand, a nice horn section, his voice is in great shape, as well as his psyche. And over 2 dozen songs, old stuff and new. Here's the setlist: Ain't That Lovin' You, No Religion, Days Like This, Raincheck, That's Life, Wonderful, Remark, St. Dominic's Preview, Listen to the Lion, Slim Slow Slider, Vanlose Stairway, Irish Heartbeat, Ballerina, Tupelo Honey-> Why Must I Always Explain, Moondance, Whenever God Shines His Light, In the Garden, Star of the County Down, Satisfied, Melancholia, Not Feelin' It Anymore, Madam George, Browneyed Girl, Have I Told You Lately So anybody that wants this show send me a PRIVATE e-mail (not to the Sec7 list) and I'll send my address. The show is on 2 CD's or 1 DAT, and I've worked up a nice set of jewel case inserts to go with it. No trade necessary, but if you have Houston Phish from the past couple of years I'd love to talk trade. Thanks to Tom Storch for sending me this show. Those of you who have been around Section 7 since the early days may remember Marshall Farmer from Birmingham, AL. At least 5 years ago he hatched a plan to pair up stateside deadheads with our foriegn (but otherwise OK ) friends who had trouble getting things like Dicks Picks overseas. Although it doesn't seem like it's been so long, I recently sent Tom and Art DP 16, so time (and DP's) marches on! I haven't had a chance to meet Art in person (I've got to save up a LOT more Frequent Flier miles for that), I have met Tom and his wonderful family, both in Munich and here stateside. So wherever you are out there Marshman, Thanks and good thoughts your way! :) :) :) Ches
